OAMARU "V. HIGH SCHOOL. ; On. Saturday, afternoon a match was on. the,. Oamaru Club's ground between "tTie Oamaru Club and fifteen of the High School Club," resulting in a victory for the senior. Club, which, owing to 'the absence: of;Seyeral players, played two 'men short.., .The. weather was unpleasant ;at the commencement of the game, but it improved .considerably during the, afternoon. .The: Oamaru team went to ..the wickets;.first>. and]/put .together the, re-, spectable total of 119, of which E. Booth made 51 by very good'play, while the extras number 28. The High School team made 61, Rice, with ,22, being the only player who got into double figures. The following are the scores :

EXCELSIOR V. TRADES.
A match was played on the old ground on Saturday afternoon, between elevens from these clubs, and resulted in a victory in the first innings for the Excelsiors. The weather was very unfavorable, and the ground was in wretched condition, so that small scores formed the. order of the day.
