All races to* be run under the Dunedin Jockey Clnb Rules, and new scale of weight for nge. . All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressee! to the Secretary, and contaifi ientaiacfrmoney, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The jockey's colors, those registered excepted, must be stated ia tha entrance form, under a penalty of 2 so*s, which while cdliquidated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such a penalty. All persons Intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scale sat least half an hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding S sovs to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of L2 2a must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest 13 considered ; this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme lor expenses. Ail disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Steward*, or whoever they may appoint.
