All races to be run under the Dunedin Jockey Club Rules, and new scale of weight Atf*entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretory, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The jockey's colors, thoae registered excepted, must be stated in tho entrance form, nnder a penalty of 2 aovs, which while unlrqidated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such a penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales at least half an hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 aovs to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of L2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered ; this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest friTolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme tor expenses. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing ahall be decided by the Steward*, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme ■W! be final. Entries received only nnder these conditions. Nominations, entries, and acceptances will not be received after the time stated nnder any pretence whatever, or without being accompanied Kith the necessary amount in cash, and with qualification fee of LI Is added. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdle Race, Redcastle Handicap, Steeplechase Handicap, Autumn Handicap, and St. Patrick's Handicap, will be received up till TUESDAY, 24th day of FEBRUARY. Weights to be declared on MARCH 3rd for Handicap Hurdle Race, Redcastle Handicaps St. Patrick's Handicap, and Handicap Steeplechase. For Autumn Handicap and Novel Bace, on night of first day's races.
