DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
The Oamaru Artillery competed on Saturday for the annual district prizes. The conditions were—Ranges, 200, 300, and 400 yards, with five shots at each, in any position. The prizes were as follow : Ist, LI ; 2nd, 15s ; 3rd, 12s 6d ; 4th, 7s 6d ; stli, 5s ; 6th, 3s 6d. As will be seen from the list given below a large number of members competed, but the firing was below the average. The first six were the
