All races to be run under the Dunedin Jockey Club Rules, and new scale of weight for All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The jockey's colors, those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, under a penalty of 2 sovs, which while anliqidated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such a penalty. All persons intending to withdraw hones are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scalts at least half an hour before the advertised time of starting-. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 sovs to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of L2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest i 3 considered ; this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, wilt be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme lor expenses. _ All disputes, claims, and objections arising oat ofthe racing shall be deeded by the Steward;*, or whoever they may appoint.
