Novel Race of 50 .=ovs ; the winner to be sold immediately after the race ; the whole of the proceeds to go to the race funds; nomination, 12; once round. 6. Consolation Race Handicap of 20 sovs ; Post entries, L2 ; once round ; for all horses beaten during the meeting. RULES AND REGULATIONS. All races to be run under the Dunedin •Jockey Club Rules, and new scale of weight for ige. All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description and age of horse. The jockey's colons, those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, under a penalty of 2 sovs, which while nnliqidated will disqualify any horse whose owner or nominator has incurred such a penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales at least half an hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall piy a fine to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 sova to the race fund. In lhe event of any pe son entering a protest, the sum of L2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered ; this sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all monej-s paid in accordance with the programme for expenses. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. Entries received only under these conditions. Nominations, entries, and acceptances will not be received after the time stated under any pretence whatever, or without being accompanied with the necessary amount in cash, and with qualification fee of LI Is added. Nominations for the Handicap Hurdle Race, Redcastle Handicap, Steeplechase Handicap, Autumn Handicap, and St. Patrick's Handicap, will be received up till TUESDAY, 24th day of FEBRUARY. Weights to be declared on MARCH 3rd for Handicap Hurdle Race, Redcastle Handicap, St. Patrick's Handicap, and Handicap Steeplechase. For Autumn Handicap and.
