The weather was exceedingly inclement, and consequently there were only fifteen persons present-.; Mr. R.. S. He then read the report of his Committee, showing a balanoe of Lls odd. During tha j 7 oar the Committee had held eleven meetings, and state that they desire to record their sense of the courtesy with which the Education Board has treated them in all communications. They have erected a coal shed for the teacher's residence, and have also removed the' library from the old to the new school building. The Chairman read a list of the. householders in the district, after which the meeting elected the following gentlemen:—Messrs. G. Ross, W. L. Craig, D. Ross, T; Ward, J. > BaMel,. J, M'Addie, W. After instructing the new Committee to hold their first meeting on Friday, 3Qth January, the meeting terminated. LIVINGSTONE, (FROM A CORRESPONDENT.) ' To the heavy rain which fell on Monday night must be attributed the fact that very few householders attended the annual I meeting for the election of a Sohool Committee, The meeting consequently lapsed, | and another meeting will have to be called j to elect a Committee.
