ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE OAMARU MAIL. Sir, —In your report of the meeting of the Municipal Council it is made to appear that I agreed to accept a voucher as payment for land taken for the water-race. I beg to say distinctly that I refused to take a voucher, and will not allow the race to be cut until I am settled with. I am, &c. Hugh Ross. Awamoko, January 24. [We are not responsible for the misstatement, if mis-statement there is, for, as Mr. Boss will observe, the only reference made to a voucher in his case is contained in a resolution of the Council.— ED. O.M.]
