Messrs. Donald Reid and Co. report for the week ending2lst January as Pat Cattle. . — Inis number included 60 stores; the balance were composed chiefiy of medium to prime duality. The supply proved altogether too Urge, and about 50 were turned out. Best bullocks brought up to LU 10s ; do cow3 T LS 7a 6d—or equal to 26a per 1001b for prime, 21s medium quality. We sold on account of Messrs. J. and E. B. Cargill, h> bullocks at LO 10s; on account of George Wallace, Esq., 12 bullock front L 0 ltte to Llo 75.6 d; on account of R. Goodison, 13 head at—bullocks, to L 7 sa; cows, to L* 2s 6d- _ , , Fat Calves.— Twenty-five came to hand, all good vealers. We sold 12 at from lls to Fat Sheep.—2ll9 were penned, 500 being young merinos, the balance cross-breds of good to prime quality. The demand was scarcely equal to the supply: prices showing a dligfat reduction ; 850 unsold. Best cros3breds brought up to 10s ; others, to ;s 9d; merino wethers, 5s 6d to 6s 3d. *V e quote prime mutton at l}d per lb. Fat Lambs.—This market was also well supplied, 540 coming forward ; they met a dull market. We sold on account of James Shand. Esq., 60s at 6s ; on account of others, 50 at 5a 9d.

Store Cattle.—No transaction. Store Sheep are being actively dealt in. During the week we have sold several lota merinos at fair values. . , Wool. At yesterday a sale (the second of the season) IlfiO bales were submitted. 697 bales were sold, and two clips passed m, one likely to be sold privately. Greasy crossbred*, from 7,? dto lid; do merino, M to lf>Jd; washed and scoured cross-breds, J3- t d; do merino, 17, id. - Sheepskins, &c.—On Monday we offered a full catalogue, viz., 2000 skins, chtetly country lots. There was good competition ; merinos were up to 4s Bd, croas-breds from 3* yd to 4s 7d. One lot of superior merrno skins in bales fetched 73*1 per lb. VVe also offered and sold 137 bags wool, chiefly P«eces which fetched 4|d to M; locks, 2id t0 Hides. We placed odd lots at 3d per lb for wet-salted ; 12» 6d to ISs for butchers green hides. „ , t Taltow is in good request. Our sales have a few small lota at 2*>s ; butchers rough fat. 15s. , , , - 4 Grain.—The wheat market has been qme ,m<{ little business has been done. At our sale on Thursday last we sold Hob wheat at Milling (medium) to 4s (xl; fowls feed to 3* 7d. Oats are in a little better demand for shipment, but prices remain at last quotations, viz., Is Sd to ls9d, feed and milling. Barley, none offering. Potatoes. —The market 13 fully stocked, and prices are very low.
