Quicksilver was imported from England by J. W. Ladbrook, Esq., to Canterbury in 1864. He was bred by John Coker, Esq., Lynn, Norfolk, by Prickwillow. His dam, a:Phenomenon mare, the property of John Bond, Esq., Old Prickwillow, was the champion of all roadsters. GOLDFINDER has taken several first prizes as the best Hackney Stallion at some of the principal shows as a weight-carrier and roadster; his equal is not in the Province. Blackleg won altogether 54 First aiid 2 Second Prizes. Princess Maude, the best mare, that ever left Scotlaud, was half-sister to Blackleg.
