Ere a few of the inhabitants of this township welcomed the old year out and the new year in by,going round the town, as of old, and which all must know is the usual custom. Our worthy friends who speak so well of their fellow-citizens might . think themselves favored orf the above night, as within the remembrance of the t inhabitants it was withtipt doubt the ? quietest New Year's Eve ever expenenced. - Perhaps our worthyfriendsthink that . their fellow-citizens took advantage o££he : absence of the load policeman.
