NORTH SCHOOL SPORTS.

We gave a short account of the North School picnic and sports on Saturday evening. Below will be found a list of of the winners of the events which were competed for after we went to press. After the rather lengthy programme had been satisfactorily gone through, the children were assembled preparatory to leaving the scene of so much enjoyment, and cheers having been called for Mr. Fleming, and lustily responded, to the National Anthem was sung and a start made for home, everyone declaring that thoy had spent a most enjoyable day. Ward, 2 ; J. Borthwick, 3. 200 yards backwards race—C. Galbraith, 1 ; W. Jardine, 2. Walking match, o/er 13—C. Galbraith, 1; W. .Jardine, 2; N. W. Meldrum, 3. Walking match, under 13— J.
