All races to be run under the Dunedin Jockey Club Rules, and new scale of weight for age. All entries and acceptances must be in sealed covers, addressed to the Secretary, and contain entrance money, sweepstakes, description, and age of horse. The jockeys' colors, those registered excepted, must be stated in the entrance form, under a penalty of two sovs, which while unliquidated, will disqualify any horse, whose owner or nominator has incurred such a penalty. All persons intending to withdraw horses are required to give notice to that effect to the Secietary or Clerk of the Scales at least half an hour before the advertised time of starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this rule shall pay a fine, to be imposed by the Stewards, not exceeding 5 sovs., to the race fund. In the event of any person entering a protest, the sum of L2 2s must be lodged with the Secretary before such protest is considered ; tliis sum to be forfeited to the funds should the Stewards consider the protest frivolous or vexatious. Five per cent, will be deducted from the gross of all moneys paid in accordance with the programme, for expenses. All disputes, claims, and objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by the Stewards, or whoever they ma/ appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with the carrying out of the programme shall be final. Entries received only under these conditions. Nominations, entries, and acceptances will not be received after the time stated, under any pretence whatever, or without being accompanied with the necessary amount in cash, with qualification fee of LI Is added. Nominations on the 6th December, weights for the Oamaru Cup, Publicans' Handicap, and Hurdle Race, on the 10th December. Weights to be declared for the Oamaru Jockey Club Handicap, W aitaki County Handicap, and Novel Handicap on the night of first day's rc.ci:<g.
