Francil Yalpy, charged with embezzling L 5 lCs, the moneys of the.Christchurch section of the Railway Employe's Society, luis been remanded to the 10th instant. Bail was allowed—himself in Li.oo, and two sureties of LpQ each. The acgused was tried at the last session of the Supi'eme Court, for tlio same offence, but escaped through some legal informality. The unemployed are going to petition the Premier, and, if that is no good, they will then petition tlio Governor when ho arrives.
