HAMPDEN RIFLE VOLUNTEERS.
I On Saturday, nineteen members of the j Hamptlen Rifle Volunteers took part in the iiftlx competitioi. f"i the Company's modal. A second pru'j also competed for in the form of an ink little, presented by StalTSergeant-Majcr M'Pherson. The day was a most unfavorable one for rifle shooting, as a perfect, gale was blowing all the time, accompanied by showers of hail and snow. Tho ijiedal was won by Vol. T. Ridd-11, and Corpl. J. Riddell won tho. ir,k bottle. The following are the scores of those who made 30 and upwards :
