ERECTION OF TIMBER DRYING ROOMS. -The difficulty experienced by ali consumers in procurinu'suppliesof thoroughly Seasoned Timber is well known, and has induced the Company to erect at very considerable cost a complete set of Drying Rooms, capable of seasoning in one parcel over 100,0t)0 feet of timber, to meet this much-felt want. The Drying Rooms are now in full work, and the result has fully justified the expense incurred. It is intended to use only such timber as has been subjected to this process in making up Furniture and Woodware, and this cannot fail to favorably influence the demand for the Company's Manufactures. The attention of Builders and Contractors is specially -drawn to the advantages derivable from the use of timber which has undergone this process of seasoning, and which are: A perfect freedom from clinging, and a consequent absence of the unseemly joints so noticeable in ordinary workmanship, as well as a greater durability in the material employed. A knowledge of these facts must eventually lead to the extensive use of this Seasoned Timber in all works were such advantages are a desideratum. SEASONED TIMBER for the Trade will be supplied on favorable terms, which can be learned on application at the Company's Offices personally, or by letter. GUTHRIE AND LARNACH'S '{TEW ZEALAND TIMBER & WOOD„M WARE FACTORIES COMPANY (LIMITED), IMPORTERS, TIMBER, IRON AND FURNITURE MERCHANTS, DtrxEDiK, N.Z., Have now fully completed the erection of their extensive Warehouses and the alterations to the Factory, and are enabled to notify that the facilities for prompt execution of orders, and the exhibition of their elaborate Stocks of Hardware, Furniture, Woodwares,and Timber (rough and manufactured of every desoripiion), arc unequalled in the Australian Colonies. FACTORY DEPARTMENT.—The alteration to the Factory, just completed, has enabled the introductiqn of various new woodworking-machines, rendered necessan' by the constantly increasing demand for woodware of the Company's manufacture, he Factory may now bo considered the most elaborate of its kind in the world, and the expedition, with whioh the most intricate orders can be dispatched will commend itself to the public. THE HARDWARE DEPARTMENT stocks are of the most complete description, and arc being largely added to on the arrival of t ach vetsel from the British and American markets. The Company is prepared to supply customers with every requisite in the Ironmongery trade at the lowest market rater:, THE FURNITUi-iE DEPARTMENT possesses a special feature in the introduction of local woods into the manufactures, and the successful sale of articles of this nat'ire marks the appreciation of the Company's efforts in this direction. Special attention is given to use only such timber for this class of work as has been thoroughly seasoned by the new process lately introduced by the Company, and Customers can therefore be guarauteo-d against the failure of any articles from the use of unseasoned timber. The stocks of imported goods comprise a fine selection of Dining-room, Drawing-room, and Bedroom Suites in a variety of designs ; Pianos by the best makers ; a selection o ; Parisian goods ; and every requisite for complete furnishing.
