SHEPHERDS' RACE.
TO THE EDITOR OF THE OATtIATUJ MAIL. Sir,—ln connection -with the forthcoming races to be held at Duntroon, I would beg to make a few remarks regarding the Shepherds' Race. I would suggest that in future the Stewards should confine this entirely to bona fide shepherds, horses to be their own property and regularly in use for six months previous, and to be rode by owners. This would be a great encouragement to them as they would not have to compete with regular professionals, as at present.—l am, &c., A SHEI'HEfcD.
