There will be two (2) classes—one for dogs of any age, and one for dogs aged IS months and under. There will be first, second, and third prizes awarded for each class. Four sheep will be allowed for each competitor. Six hardies to form a pen, the gate to act as a wiitg. Any competitor ■zrhen working his dog mast remain within (50) fifty yards of the pen. In the trial for aged Dogs, no Dog will be allowed to start before the sheep ave [i) half a mile from the pen ; (20) twenty minutes will be allowed for yarding from the time of start. In the trial for yonnj Dogs, no dog will be allowed to start before the sheep are (300) five hundred yards from :ho pen; time and sheep same as for old Dogs. Prizes will be awarded according to joints in each class—viz., nine (9) points :or the best heading; seven (7) for best HMging back; three (3) for best yarding ; ive (5) for best under command.
