[FROM OUR OWN" CORKESPOKBEN'T.] Sydney, September 17. The Exhibition was opened to-day by the Governor (Lord Loftus). The weather was splendid. The opening ceremony was inaugurated by a procession, in which upwards of 25,000 took part, including the Governors of Victoria, South Australia, and Tasmania. There were 120,000 persons in the streets. The opening was a glorious success. September 18. Another gala day has been proposed, owing to the failure of the outside demonstration, which was otherwise a financial success. There are hopes that thcGovernoiof New Zealand and family will visit Sydney v.hen the Exhibition is ready. The moveable Martyrs' Church has been erected. There was a grand dedicatory service before its shipment per John Wesley from Eroinanga. There is hot competition between Victoria and New South Wales iu the matter of manufacfactures exhibited.
