MAEREWHENUA PLOUGHING MATCH.

(FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Duntroon, September 5. The annual ploughing match is being held here to-day, and, despite the excitement of the election contest, is creating a large amount of interest. There are ten entries in Class A and eight in Class B. The horses are first-class, and some good work is being done. Later. The ploughing match was the best ever held in Otago. The ploughing was really first-class, and the teams were magnificent. There was fully LSOOO worth of horses and ploughs on the ground. The prizes will be declared in an hour.
