The past weelc Baa been remarkably qttiet in, all respects. Advantage was taken by many farmers of the improvement in the ■weather to visit towns daring the week. Business, however, has not shown much life,, and transactions have not been, on the whole, of aa extensive character. Wheat.—The market for this grain, while not active, continues firm, and any firstclass samples brought forward by growers find ready purchasers at 3s 9d. Fair quality may be quoted at 3a ffd to 3» Bd. Some of the millers are in the market at the moment, while we can *lso note the presence of buyers for shipment. The demand for fowls' wheat, haa been good ever since the begin-1 ning of the season, is still active, and even the most indifferent lots are eagerly bought. Oats.—Tlie business passing through hands in oats during the week has partaken much of the character of the preceding one : sales having been restricted to supplies for local wants. In the face of advices from the markets of our best customers little hope of an improvement in value is entertained, at least, for some considerable time to come. Feed quality ranges from i. ! s 5d to Is 6d ; milling, 2s Td to 2s 3d. Barley continues in much the same state. Market rates have not been so much disturbed by the loss of the B. L. as was exEe cited. Only a small part of the cargo ha 3 een recovered, the vessel within the last few days having broken up. The portion secured has been landed in fair order. Medium quality, the only kind obtainable, is quoted at 4s <od to sa. Of first-class there is none offering. Potatoes.—The sales of potatoes have been more numerous during the week than Eor some time, and with the better weather we are now having, deliveries will be heavier. Values are quoted at 70s. Flour has not varied in price, _ although business is reported to have improved. Still, until the stocks of Southern flour are reduced in the outside markets, buyers do not feet inclined to respond to the advanced rate. AUSTRALIAN COMMERCIAL. [by cable.] Adelaide, July 11.
