Tho American ship Matilda haa been chartered to take the cargo saved from the ship Hyderabad to Adelaide. She proceeds til'st to Kaiapiti, and thence to Wellington. Ntcw Pltkocth. July 11. Thu s.s. Wellington arrived this morning from Mantikau. Shortly after coming in she lost her anchor, and had to stand out to sea. It was a difficult matter to tender' her. but a boat was successfully launched after repeated efforts.. She left at nooa for Southern; ports. _ ! The Etinemoa arrived early this morning from Manufcau. She took oa board the f£on. Mr. Scotland., Messrs. F. A. Carvington and Kelly. JVI..R. tv.s, and left for Wellington at eight o'clock. She had a rough passage in tho Straits. It is expected there is it heavy sea on. A strong south-west gala is blowing. IsvTSRCAftCtL. July 10. Tho schooner Jane Anderson, which arrived alongide the pier to-day from Danedin. has had an unfortunate trip. On the 3cd July, when crossing the New* River bar, she got ashore, and severely strained herac'f. She remained aground for several hours, and as a heavy sea rolled in. her crew deserted her at low water and went ashore. As the tide mads she floated off. and the men reboarded her and pumped her out. She was then prevented from reaching this port by a head wind. Captain- Saundei'S estimates her damages at about L 350.
