Tls accordance with the Standing Orders of the Legislative Council, in the matter of Local Bills, Notice is Hereby Given, that it is intended to introduce at the forthcoming Session of the General Assembly, BILLS to effect the following purposes,
1. A Bill to remove doubts as to the validity of the covenants for renewal contained in certain leases granted by the Municipal Corporation of Oamaru, 2. Bill to enable the exchange of certain lands with the Government and Otago School Commissioners respectively ; that is to say : A. The present Goal Site and Police Paddock, and all the Sections in Block 3J (except C and 16, already Municipal property) to be transferred to the Corporation. B. piece of land in Block 95 lying between Itcheu - street, Severnstreet, the Railway, and Section 1 of Hertslett's Claim, to be set apart as a site for Public Buildings ; and 2 acres, 2 roods, 26 poles of Reserve I>, lying between Chelmer-street extension, the Town Belt West, and the Railway, to be set apart as a site for a new Gaol. C. Section 11, Block 75, to be transferred to the Otago School Commissioners (to complete the site for the new South School), in exchange for Educational Section 14, Block 37, to be transferred to the Corporation.
