Best Australian beef tallow, 30s Gd per cwt ; best Australian mutton tallow, 32s Gd per cwt. The total quantity of wheat afloat for Great Britain is 1,490,000 quarters. Hanlon, the Canadian, beat Elliott in the sculling match by thirteen lengths, DIRECT AUSTRALIAN NEWS. (reciter's telegram, per press association) Melbourne, June 17. Arrived—Tanjore, to-day, from King George's Sound. The Chiniborazo arrived at Suez yesterday. Mr. Berry reached Melbourne to-night, and was publicly received in Spencerstreet. A torchlight procession was formed, and proceeded to the Treasury, where Mr. Berry made a speech, thanking the people for the reception. He said he believed the reform question had been brpugfyt to a point where victory was assured the people. It had the moral support of the best minds in England, and could not fail to win. June 18. The followiug vessels have sailed from London for New Zealand from the 20 th April to the 9fch May :—Locherie and Bernah, for Wellington; Cockermouth and James Stephens, for Otago ; Ironside and Kilbonan, for Auckland ; Lurline and Merope, for Canterbury.
