Contracts for prompt shipments trom .American ports have been made within tire last few days as low as 33s Gd per 4SOlb. c.i.f. Calitornian cargoes are procurable at 44s to 4.>s (id. Australian cargoes afloat are he 111 at 47 s Gd c.f. and i. to the United Kingdom. Shipments of Adelaide wheat now on passage to London an:offered at 4'is 6d c.i.f., but no business has transpired at this price!
