June 4 Samuel Hodgkins, the goods porter on T?flSm iall at the central station yesterday, died irforning.In the case against Andrew Reid for sly-grog selling, it having been called on in gaol, his counsel objected to the proceeding, and it had to be adjourned to enable an application to be made to the judge to hear the case in open Court. The results of the revision of tKe rolls are —Dunedin : Increase, 1027 ; struck off, 900. Roslyn : Increase, 417 ; struck off, 89. Caversham : Increase, 325 ; struck off, 81. The barque Clifton, fears for the safety of which were entertained, arrived at Sydney on Saturday. The first sod of the central railway is to be turned on Saturday.
