Since the present Proprietor to< k possession of this Hotel, extensive improvements have been effected by re-furnishing its suites for families, and largely extending its Bedroom accommodation. New furniture, unique and elegant, has been introduced into its suites, and no economy has been studied in making its Bedrooms what they are now admitted to be—lofty, airy, and replete with comfort. The Culinary department is conducted bv one of arti.stical .skill. Luncheon on the table from 12 till 2 o'clock. Dinner waits the arrival of passengers by the Kxpres3 Train from the South till half-past fj p.m. ... Travellers by railw.-.y will find this Hotel—both at the time of their arrival in and departure from the city, owing to its proximity to the Railway Station—more convenient for them than any other Hotel in Christchurch. A Porter will be in attendance on the arrival of Trains, to take charge of luggage, have it conveyed to the Hotel, and rice versa. A new Billiard Room has also been recently erected and attached to the Hotel, which, for its extent, decorations, and completeness is at present unequalled in New Zealand. Travellers leaving the Hotel by early Trains will be called in due time, and Breakfast on the table for them at any hour required.
