Mr. Montagu remarked that it would be well that the outside public should know that this decision was not arrived at from any feeling of hostility towards the Board. They were simply actuated by a desire ta uphold the privileges accorded them by the Act. A letter from the manager of the Bank of New Zealand was read, drawing the Committee's attention to the overdraft, and asking when is might be expected to be put in credit.—The Treasurer was | directed to pay in the balance in hand to the credit of the schools account, and to pay off the overdraft as soon as possible. The Committee shortly afterwards rose.
