Gobi! ploughmen are scarce—'that is to say,, hands accustomed to working the double-furrow plough, and also, men thoroughly accustomed to working horses i the horses in thie district! being of a high class, farmers are not inclined to have them- spoiled by novices. Wilson reports -.—The grainsales have been somewhat slower, and there were not the number of samples offering last week as heretofore. The wheat i» steady at from !5s 3d- to 3» Bd. the market for inferior is brisk for feed purpose*. Oats are duller, and the prices which have been aiveu difficult to reach t present prices will bo from 2s (id to 2a !)d. Barley ie not so nmoh eniniired for. and the price for second class say From 4s Bd to 3s, and best 3s 9d to tie. Crass seed moving slowly at from 'fo Bd to Sk Bit. according to quality. Wu do not hear of any demand whatever for export, and as tho millers show no disposition, to operate, some difficulty must naturatty be experienced in making safe*. Fine samples of wheat are still quoted at 'fc» M to 4s !)d. and our quotations are obtained for any small tots disposed of. Inferior qualities generally find their market thromjh the auction mart. Flour i» quoted at LtO to LtO 3s, but only the merest trade parcels are moving off at the rates named. Country supplies stttt continue to come forward largely, and though, the quantity to hand: is tess than the previous week, fully one-third-of the wheat has. wo observe, been sent on direct to Wtltiamshmn. In feedimj grains little of interest nas transpired; Feeding oats are quoted at 3s 3d to 3e 'M. but the business done is limited to supplying actual wants.
