A four-roomed wooden house at Parkside, Caversham, owned by Mr. F. Fulton, and occupied by two cabinet-makers, named Samuel and William Holmes, was burned down about 3 o'clock this morning. In the workshop were eight chests of drawers, of the total value of L2B. The furniture, tools, and clothing, were insured for LIOO in the New Zealand office, but the Holmeses estimate their loss at double that amount.
