SALE OF PURE LINCOLN SHEEP.

The Windsor Park first annual sale of pure Lincoln sheep occupied the second day. as previous!}' announced. The lots of sheep selected for this day's sale consisted of lots SS to 02, 10 pure-bred Lincoln mms, imported bj r Mr. Monlove, and bred by Messrs. Kirkham (of Biscathorpe) and Dudding (of Panton House), both celebrated English breeders. These were full-mouthed, and were knocked down to Mr. John Reid, of Eklerslie, at L2 10s. each. Lots 94 and 95, consisting of 10 two-tooth purerbred Lincoln rams, by the above sires, out of ewes by the above breeders, were sold to Millington Bros., Papakaio, at L2 ss. each, Mr. Reid, of Eklerslie, becoming the purchaser of lots 97 and 98, consisting of 10 sheep, at L2 os. each, but no other bids being obtainable, the remaining lots were passed in. 1110 store sheep of three-quarter breed were then disposed of to Mi 1 . Grant, of Granton, West Taieri at 7s. Cd. 350 nearly pure-bred ewes were withdrawn at 12s. In class 2, 14 pure-bred Lincoln two-tooth rams were sold at the following prices : —First pick of the lot to Mr. Heid, at L 5 5s ; second pick, Mr. Eeid, Lll lis ; third pick. Mr. Reid, L 9 9s ; fourth pick, Mr. Brydone, L 0 os. The remaining 10 went to Mr. Reid at L 5 5s each. This concluded the sale.
