The Clerk was appointed Returning Officer, and a recommendation made that the election be held at Messrs. Millington's. Mr. Aitchison's claim for certain expenses contracted at the late Papakaio election was next considered, when it was resolved to refer Mr. Aitchison to the decision previously arrived at on this matter. The Engineer laid on the table plans and specifications for formations in Weymouth which were ordered to be advertised for the next meeting. Biggar and Robertson's tender (LCI 9s) was accepted for contract 08, footbridge on Ferry Road. Accounts to the amount of L 257 5s Id were passed for payment, and a vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the meeting.
