RIFLE COMPETITION.

The No. 1 Company commenced its match for company prizes this morning, the first range (200 yards) having been completed by a squad of twenty-one men. Another squad is to fire this afternoon. The conditions under which the match is proceeding arc—Ranges 200, 400, and 500 yards, ten shots at each ; Wimbledon targets ; anv position ; one range being taken on each firing day. A number of the members have been allowed handicap points, some having as high as IS, which will be added to their scores when the match is finished.
