BANKS V. THE TOWN. On Saturday the return match between these teams was commenrod on the Oamaru Club's ground. The bankers were the first to handle the willow. They made a wretched beginning, the first five wickets falling for the ridiculously small score of five. CastelH and Du Pre" then got together, and brought the score up to 35 before a sepai'ation was effected, Castelli being bowled by Cooke, after scoring 17. The innings closed for a total of 48, Du Pre carrying out his bat for 20. Cooke bowled very well for the Town, and obtained seven wickets. The Town Eleven only succeeded in putting together a total of 40, Finch being the highest scorer with 10. Lowe obtained no less than eight "wickets. The match will be continued next Saturday.
