DISTRICT PRIZE FIRING.
The first squad of the Citizen Cadets competed for the Cadet prizes yesterday morning. The ranges were —100, 200, and 300 yards ; 0.-rounds at each ; target, 6x4; centre, 2x2; bull's-eye, Bin. There were 14 competitors, and the weather was bright but windy. The shooting was poor, the following being the scores over 20 : 100 200 300 Tl. Corpl. Given 1.3 12 9—34 Buist 15 6 7—2S Cadet F.
