(FFOtt OrR OW.V CORRESPONDENTS.) Sydney, January 21. The Somerset has arrived at Cook town, but was refused pratique owing to a supposed case of smallpox. .She proceeds South immediately. The Ocean, steamer, struck the Gibber Rock, near Thursday Island, and knocked a hole in her bottom. She was repaired, and left Thursday Island on the 10th instant, for Hong Kong. The Brisbane and Normanby took the Mecca's passengers to Hong Kong, with the exception of fifty, who are on board the Somerset. . There is a report from New Guinea ol the massacre of Captain Ingham and the crew of the steamer Vouni at Rrooker Island. Those killed include Ingham, who was both master and owner; Isles (engineer), one European and two Chinese sailers. The natives have all Ingham s and Redttch's arms, and it is dangerous to go near them. Two seamen of the Minnie Low were also murdered. London, January 21. The French Government were unexpectedly defeated on a vote of censure by a majority of 102.
