New furnitu re, unique and qlegant, has been introdiiced into ita suites, and no economy has been studied in making its Bedrooms what they are now admitted to be—lofty, airy, and replete with comfort. The Culinary department is conducted by one oi artistical skill. Luncheon on the table from 12 till 2 o'clock. Dinner waits the arrival of passengers by the Express Train from the South till half-past f? p.m. Travellers by railway will find this Hotel—both at the time of their arrival in and departure from the city, owing to its proximity to the Railway Station—more convenient for them than any other Hotel in Christchurch. A Porter will be iu attendance on tho arrival of Trains, to take charge of luggage, have it conveyed to the Hotel, and vice ver»a. A new Billiard Room has also been re» cently erected and attached to the Hotel, whioh, for its extent, decorations, and com. pleteness is at present unequalled in Now Zealand. Four of Alcock's finest Exhibition Tables have been imported from Melbourne for this magnificent room, iu which lovers of the game may luxuriate in the midat of all the improved appliances and comforts known to modem art. The Proprietor will bestow special attention in his selection of Wines for this establishment, and only the best will be supplied. Of Spirits, English and Colonia' Ales, only the beat approved brands will bo kept. Care will be taken that the staff oi servants employed at this Hotel will be only those who are found prompt and ready to bestow on visitors that attention to their wants, together with the full measure of civility which they have a right to expect or demand. Travellers leaving tho Hotel by early Trains will be called in due time, and Breakfast on the table for them at any hour required. The luxury of Hot, Cold, aud Showor Baths may be enjoyed at all hours. The present Proprietor—Mr. T. At the Trial held under the auspices of tu« Royal Agricultural Society of England at Bristol, August 6th : Decision of the Judges—M'CORMICK'S SHEAF BINDER fulfilled the conditions of the Society, and was awarded THE GOLD MEDAL. At the Biccarton Trial, January 24th, 1878, three fourths of the farmers preferred the M'Cormiek Reaper and Binder, and were prepared to give thes? unsolicited verdict in its favor. At the Kaiapoi Trial, February 7th, 1375, the FIRST PRIZE, given by tho Farmers' Club, was awarded to the M'Cormiek Machine, At the Oamaru Trial, Fobruary 27th, I&7S, THE GOLD MEDAL Given by the Northern Agricultua.l and Pastoral Association, Oamaru, Otago, was awarded to the M'Cormiek Machine. At the Ashburton County Trial, at Mothven, on March 6th, 1878, the FIRST PRIZE wa3 awarded to the driver of the only M'Cormiek Machine present in competition with Twelve Machines of another make. At the Public Trial, held under the auspices of the Otago Agricultural and Pastoral Association, at the Grange, Taieri, on March 16th, 1878, the thirty Judges appointed were unanimous iu awarding the FIRST TRIZE TO THE M'COKMICK MACHINE, Our season's stock of the above Machines is now being lauded here from the E. C. Bushuell, from New York, and being nearly all disposed of, early application is necessary to secure one of the above really first-class; Harvesters.
