(FROM OCR OWN CORRESPONDENTS.) Sydney, January 2. The strike is expected to certainly terminate to-day. The Company yields. In the match Australian Eleven against English Eleven, Lucas made 6 for the latter ; Ulyett, nil; Webbe, 4; Hornby, 2. Four wickets are down for 14. January 3. The strike has been settled on the following tcrnu:—All the men, so far as practicable, are to return to their former positions ; the Company are to retain the services of 180 Chinese, to be rednced to 120 within three months ; the wages due to the men on the 18th of November to be paid by the Company; and ships' discharges to be given where necessary. The Company reduces the number of Chinese greatly. In one month from the present date there will be no Chinese in the Queensland trade ; only in that of Noumea, Fiji, and China. All blacklegs have been discharged. The engineering and shipping will be resumed on Monday, employing one thousand.
The Australians have lost six wickets for 15S. Spofforth made 39; Garrett, 26; Allan, 50.
