TIMARU. (From to-day's Timaru Herald.) We have no alteration to note in last week's report of the grain market. Prices remain nominal, and there is little or no improvement manifest, with the exception, perhaps, of oats, which show a tendency to harden in consequence of the unpromising state of the growing crops. The late rains, though very beneficial, were not of sufficiently long duration to do much good, and moro rain is sadly wanted. Reports from North Canterbury are very unfavorable to the young crops, especially in the case of oats.
