ORIGINAL CORRESPONDENCE.

TO THE EDITOR OP THE EVENING MAIL] Sin,; —I wish to bring under your notice a most disgusting evil that exists in this rising town of Qamaru, namely, the groups

of fellows that stand outside the hotels in Thames-street every Sunday, especially in the afternoon. They stand there with the caubeen or hat covering one eye. No respectable young lady or man can pass along this part of the town without a sneer or a grin from these ignorant fellows. I notice one man is a regular attendant there. Ho la quite respectably dressed, and appears to be the organiser of the forces. Hoping that you will lend your able pen to the suppression of this growing nuisance, I am, &0., A SUBBCKIBILB.
