NORTH OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
The November competition by members of this Association was commenced this morning under circumstances of the most unfavorable description. A perfect gale was blowing, and good shooting was rendered almost an impossibility. Sergeant-Major Creagh, of the Artillery, however, made a capital score, and Captain M'Corkiudule also shot well ; but the rest of the scores were a long way below the average. Another squad was to fire this afternoon. The conditions were—2oo and GOO yards, seven shots at each, in any position. The following are the scores made in the morning competition :
