This Company is projected for the purpose of purchasing a site near Oamaru, erecting necessary buildings, buying machinery and plant, and the carrying on of a Woollen Manufacturing Business in all its branches. It is proposed to secure the services of a skilFnl and reliable agent for the purchase of the most improved and labor-saving machinery. It is believed by the promoters that the neighborhood of Oamaru is admirably adapted for the commencement of the industry, being conveniently situated for the purchase of the raw material, as also for the disposal of the imnufactxxred article. The promoters, desiring to afford people of small means, as well as capitalists, an ' opportunity of investing, have determined to make the shires of such an amount as to be within the reach of everyone. The calls have also been fixed at small amounts, extending over a considerable period. It is thought that this arrangement t.-'t afford people within the district an opportunity of assisting to develop an industry which is likely to be of material advptinnge. As soon as a sufficient number oi shares have been applied for, the purchase of the necessary plant will be proceeded with.
