At the Resident Magistrate's Court, this morning, before J. W. Humphrey, Esq., J.P., John Cameron, charged with having been drunk and disorderly in Itchen-street yesterday, was fined 55., but not having had the money on hand, he decided to suffer 24 hours' imprisonment.

The following item was received by the San • Francisco mail, and has been telegraphed to us by the Press Agency : The New York Times says Henry Morgan, a miner, residing at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, recently sent to England for his wife and two children. They took passages in the Wyoming, which arrived there on Wednesday, having 600 Mormons on board. Morgan went to New York to meet them. He lost his money on the way, and telegraphed his position to James Brown, of Pittsburgh, who sent him 28dols. With this in his possession, he went to Castle Garden on Wednesday night, but his wife refused to go with him, as she had been converted on the passage by the Mormon Elders, and expressed her determination to follow them to Utah. Argument and entreaty were of no avail, and Morgan, half distracted, was obliged to return to his lodgings unaccompanied. Yesterday he went to the garden and renewed his appeals, but Mrs. Morgan remained obstinate. At length the Mormon chief took Morgan in hand and argued with him so effectually that he turned over all his money to them, and the entire Morgan family took the train on the Erie railway, in company with the other 600, bound for Utah.
