NORTH OTAGO RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
The second match of the season was commenced at the headquarters range this morning, when 14 members competed. The ranges were 300 and 400 yards, with seven shots at each in any position, Wimbledon targets. There was no wind, hut the light was, exceedingly bad. Notwithstanding this 4rawb,ack some very good scores were made, the shotting of Captain M'Coxkine-ale and Mr. Rule being particularly noticeable. The former at the 500 yards range made eight consecutive bulls' eyes, including one obtained with his sighting shot. Another detachment was to fire this afternoon, while the seres made by 1 Waimate, 9 Otepopo, and 4 Hampden members are yet to be deceived.
