Barque—Ceylon. B.irquentine—Frank Guy, Avoca. Brigantine—Eliza Mary. Schooners—Jane Anderson, Pelican, Cora, Isabella Anderson, Maggie Paterson. Ketch —Jessie. The s.s. Waitaki, Capt. Edie, arrived in port from Dunedin at (> a.m. this morning, with 20 passengers and 30 tons of cargo. The barquentine Frank Guy arrived trom Newcastle at 2 p.m. to-day. She brings a cargo of timber for the Waitaki Bridge. The schooner Isabella Anderson commenced loading for Greymouth this morning. Tho schooner Pelican has finished discharging, and is now taking in a cargo of produce for Wellington. The barqne Ceylon will finish discharging her cargo of coal to-morrow. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. Lyttelton, October 14. The Waitangi has been placed in quarantine owing to there being scarlatina on board. There are at present three cases under treatment, none of which, however, ;ire serious. Four deaths and eight births occurred ou the voyage, the deaths being three of infants, and one adult from phthsis. The Waitangi left Plymouth on July lbtn. Crossed the Line August 27th, the meridian of the Cape on September sth, made the Snareß October Cth, and arrived last evening. The chief characteristics of the voyage were the very variable nature of the winds, and tho extreme westerly weather in the Southern Ocean. __________
