Good draughts brought from L3B to LSO ; light harness horses, LlO to LIS; inferior hacks, L 4 10s to L7fo ; nair of ponies, L 34 10s. Oats, 3s 9d per bushel. A quantity of pigs, poultry, lambs, etc., were also disposed of at a fair value. , , Messrs. Connoll and Clowes hold a sale or store cattle yesterday at M'Kay's \ards, Roidston. All the lots offered were sold. Yearling steers brought L2 19 to L 3 ; 18month./steers, L 3 12s to L 4 12s Gd , dry cows, L 3 17s Cd to LG 7s Cd ; heifers m call, L7ss to LS. , ~ , , Messrs. Connoll and Clowes held a sale ot .'rain at their Stores, Tyne-street, to-day. The attendance was good and the bidding spirited—HSU bags red straw wheat brought 3s 9.W1 per bushel ; US bags velvet, 3s lid ; 400 bags velvet, 3s 9.U1 ; 100 bags feed oats, 3s lOd ; 100 bags feudoats, 3s lid. Discount rates in the open market are stiffening. The Rank resorvc has been reduced one and a-half millions, by the gold drain in Scotland. , The "stock market is disorganised by the recent failures. Australian securities continue depressed ; New Zealand arc lower. The wool sales concluded yesterday. On the concluding days the market was much depressed.
