[FRO!! ouu own '•n;u;Ksl'fi\'nKN-r. 1 Dunf.din, October 11. The following cablegrams have been received by the Star : London, October 4. The advance on Cabul has been commenced. The Ameer is making great preparations, and the Russian Press encourage him to resist. October 7. The war has commenced. A strong force of British troops moved against the Fortess of Alimussen on the frontier, capturing it after a severe contest. The Ameer still continues warlike. Lord Chelmsford is dead.
