AUCTION KKK-* UK PORTS. Messrs. Council and Clowes report that they held a sale of t-huepskins, hides, and tallow, yesterdav, when the attendance was good, particularly of outside buyers, and the competition spirited. 2SUO sheepskins were catalogued, and fetched the following rates :—Station hnlf-brods, 3s to 6s Id, according to quality ; do merin-s, 2s Sd to .is ; butchers' half-biods, oh Sd to 5s lOd : do merinos, 4s 6il to 4s lOd ; tallow, 2d to 2Jd ; do rendered, 3js per lb. . Mr. A. H. Maude reports that at his sale of sheepskins, yesterday, U bales dry skins were disposed of at 7d per lb. There was a fair attendance of buyers, both local and from Dunedin. . Mr. Georgo Groon field reports having sole! at Mr. John Cahill's residence a quantity of household furniture. Although the attendance was small, the various lots submitted elicited keen competition, and realised good priceo.
