DUNEDIN. September 25. Reid, for sly-grog selling, has been fined LSO. The perjury ease against his wife is adjourned.
The Dunedin Star has received a telegram from Arrow announcing that all the rivers in the district are greatly Hooded, that the Shotover Bridge is impassable, and that it is raining in torrents. A Cromwell telegram just to hand says that the Kawarau and Clutha rivers are as high as they have been known to be for the last five years. As it is still raining, fears of serious Hoods are entertained.
