SHIPPING INTELLIGENCE.

ARRIVALS. September 20. Waitaki, s.s., 228 tons, Edie, from Dunedin H. Aitkcti, agent. Passengers Judgo Ward, Captain Russell, Captain Gaster, Messrs. White, Longford, Dixon, Baxter, and 7 in the steerage. VKSSELS IN PORT. Steamer—Waitaki. Barques—Cabarfoidh, Aikshaw. :i-mastftd Schooner—Oarron. Schooners—.lane Anderson, Isabella Pratt, Pelican. Ketches—Anna, Good Templar.

• The s.s. Waitaki, Captain Edie, arrived in port this morning from Dunedm with 14 passengers and 50 tons of cargo. She will take her departure at 8 o'clock to-night. The ketch Good Templar has finished loadiug, and will probably sail for Invercargill toTh'o schooner Jane Anderson has discharged her cargo of timber, and commenced taking in cargo for the Blull'this morning. The a.s. Ino, Captain Anderson, bound from Port Chalmers to the Kakanui, ran ashore on Wednesday night at the latter place. She had a cargo of timber on board, shipped by Messrs Guthrie and Larnach. It was announced last night that the vessel was a total wreck. Captain Russell, of the Underwriters' Association, arrived at Oamaru this morning, on his way to the Kakanui, to survey her. We are informed that she is partly insured.

The stranded brigantine Lapwing was successfully floated this morning, and anchored in the harbor. A tug is expected from Dunedin to take her to Port Chalmers for repairs. An attempt ia also being made to float the schooner Glimpse, and there is -every reason to believe that it will be successful.
